The challenge
A network of beacons wraps around a shopping mall. Once installed on a smartphone, the app presents selected content, such as store offers and available discounts. Users have access to navigation that makes it easier, for example, to find a specific store or a car in the parking lot.
The key is to balance functionality and aesthetics, ensuring that the design seamlessly integrates with the physical environment while providing a visually appealing and intuitive user experience.

The result
The system will operate based on a network of beacons. These are small devices that smartphones connect to via Bluetooth. The small cube, which easily fits in the palm, has a battery that can operate for a year. The latest models are even more durable, drawing their energy from electromagnetic waves. Three beacons cost less than $100, but it takes a whole hundred in a single shopping center to make optimal use of them.
